Description
Primary Purpose: To support the delivery of relief services to disaster victims in the Rockaway Peninsula
Essential Functions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ç Complete intake and needs assessment of clients
Ç Guide clients through applications processes
Ç Provide comprehensive housing counseling, training and advocacy
Ç Educate homebuyers and tenants to maintain an affordable housing environment
Ç Assist clients in completing applications and forms, translate routine correspondence; make follow up phone calls to determine outcome of application and the award amount
Ç Enter and track client information in AWARDS database
Ç Other tasks, as assigned
Qualifications
Ç Superior skill working with people who are under great stress
Ç Must have knowledge and experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, MS Excel, and Google Document.
Ç Able to work with an Internet-based data base
Ç At least one year administrative experience
Ç Excellent computer literacy
