RockSpot Wifi Network

The RockSpot Wifi Network Technician will help Rockaway Waterfront Alliance install a pilot public wifi network in Far Rockaway with local community and business partners. The ability to effectively explain and communicate equipment needs and installation is critical to this position. Other responsibilities include: Ç Advice RWA staff on necessary equipment purchases, network design, implementation, and scale up. Ç Install pilot point-to-point bridges and routers. Ç Test and troubleshoot pilots. Ç Explain installation to RWA staff and Technology Program Coordinator. Ç Assist the Technology Program Coordinator in drafting installation, troubleshooting, and programming training curriculum to be used in the Rockspot Digital Stewards Program.
