Description

H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm has an opening for a Corporate CAD/BIM Program Manager, in our Melville, NY office.

Essential Functions

Coordinate with team leaders from all disciplines, including but not limited to architecture, MEP, civil, and structural on development and implementation of CAD/BIM company initiatives. Work with assigned representatives from each discipline and studio to develop and reinforce standards with the goal of refining the CAD and BIM models. Oversee regular activities and provide support to design teams to ensure the standards are maintained in the creation of all CAD drawings and REVIT models. Supervise and manage a small team of support professionals that assist project teams in CAD/BIM set up and organization. Provide support to project teams by managing the resolution of CAD/BIM related technology issues. Coordinate in-house and external resources for training and implementation, at times conducting that training for users, new employees, project BIM/CAD coordinators, and project managers. Branch office training and empowerment will also be a key focus to ensure work and resource sharing can succeed between offices. Cultivate leaders among the production practice groups and studios. Bring clarity to what point corporate’s standards training goes, and beyond that, facilitate discipline-specific training programs within the various practice groups and studios. Provide technical orientation to new hires regarding CAD and BIM tools and standards. Monitor industry trends and stay apprised of available and evolving CAD/BIM platforms, ensuring H2M architects + engineers are utilizing the latest and best solutions available. Oversee the creation of Revit families in response to project needs. Ensure effective standards are in place for others who create Revit families on H2M projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, IT or equivalent. 10 years of experience in design or engineering. Exhibits an in depth working knowledge of current Revit versions. Autodesk BIM certified preferred. Strong communication skills. Desire to work in a team environment.
